Navan Holiday Weather Overview
Situated less than an hour from Dublin, Navan is the county town of Co Meath, in Ireland. Co Meath was one the stronghold of the high kings of Ireland, and many of the country’s most fascinating historic and prehistoric monuments are located within easy reach of Navan - some, such as Newgrange and the Hill of Tara are just moments away.
The city itself is a welcoming and hospitable place, hosting lots of festivals and packed with shopping centres, pubs and restaurants. Navan makes an excellent base for exploring Co Meath and further afield, and is popular with visitors all year round.

Rainfall increases as autumn progresses too, with October and November being some of the wettest months of the year.
However, the atmospheric skies are a marvellous backdrop to some of the nearby sights, and it’s an interesting time for hiking too.
Navan in Winter
Navan’s winters can be rather grey and overcast. Average daily highs reach 8°C throughout December, January and February, and overnight lows rarely fall below freezing in the city itself, but it’s not necessarily the most attractive time of year.
